Well, I just sent the BIG payment to the rescue…three thousand dollars. That’s the most money I’ve ever paid anyone all at once, ever. I’m thankful for the overage we got; it turns out we needed more than 3k. We paid about $400 to get him from Kabul to his next stop (he will fly out on Monday, they said), and then the 3k is supposed to get him to Houston, and then it’s another couple hundred to get him from Houston to El Paso. That’s IF we can find someone with a military ID card to go to the airport in Houston, to put him on the plane.

If you know of anyone with a military ID who is willing to help us out with this, PLEASE ask them to contact me either here or on the facebook page! The bonus: that person will get to meet Chuck and snuggle him and pet him and squish him and love him IN PERSON. If we can’t find an ID card holder to do this for us then the price will be twice as much.
